Die Cutting Services

Die Cutting Services: Looking for custom parts? As previouly mentioned, we can make your custom parts from a number of materials including foam, sheet plastic, corrugated plastic, chipboard, fabric, rubber, felt, cork, thin metals, masonite, foam rubber, wood, acrylic, composites, fiberglass, magnets, sponge, or any other flat material typically found in the industry.

Die Cutting Services Capabilities: We use platen presses for all of our processes. A platen press is essentially two parallel plates that press the material between a cutting board surface and a steel rule die to punch out the parts. Platen presses have the greatest accuracy and produce parts quicker than most other conventional methods for the above materials. Our presses can produce up to 70 tons of pressure with a platen size of 30" x 60".  Here is a picture of our platen press.

Accuracy;  Typically we fabricate parts to a nominal tolerance of +/-.015.  If you require tighter tolerances than this, please let us know and we can do our best to meet your needs.

Die Cutting Services environment: All of the products we die cut require us to have a very clean environment. Since many are consumer products, we must be very careful to ensure that the they maintain their perfect appearance. This same careful attention to detail will apply to your job, large or small.

Tooling: In order to produce your parts, you custom order will require a steel rule die. A Steel Rule Die (SRD) is essentially a cookie cutter from which we stamp your part from. Parts can vary in size and shape and a SRD is the least expensive option for making thousands of parts from. Please review the SRD section of this site for more information.

Turn Around:  Upon approval of your design, we typically can have your parts ready to ship in less than 2 weeks!  That is unheard of in the industry to go from concept to reality in less than 14 days.  We utilize the latest CAD software and exacting methods to reduce wasted time.  You get the parts faster and on budget..everytime!

Minimums: We do not have a set minimum quantity. However, runs of under 250 units tend to be expensive per part when you amortize tooling costs and cutting service into equation. Our average tooling cost is around $250. For a custom quote on your next job, see our Quotation form.

Pricing: There are several things that affect the price of your job.  First, we pride ourselves in having the lowest hourly rate in the industry.  Just like many other professional services, we charge by the hour.  Our rate is only $65 per hour.  Second, our machinery is very quick, clean and efficient.  This means you get the lowest price and the highest accuracy.  For a complete explanation on how we price our service and what you can expect to pay,  please visit our pricing section.
